Angeli Kakade is one prolific songwriter and solo artist. She has been gathering fans all over the world and her popularity continues to defy gravity.
Angeli hails from Minneapolis, MN, where she spent her formative years singing and performing for just about every opportunity that came her way. Her first single “All I Want” was released earlier this year and produced by Chris Young (whose credits include Ashlee Simpson, George Clinton, and the Real Housewives of NYC’s Countess Luann). Numerous radio station interviews and performances in Los Angeles as well as many famed venues in New York followed this release.
Angeli recently teamed up with MotherApp (a mobile app developer) to create the MyAngeli application, which is now available as a free app through the Blackberry and Droid phones. The app is a unique way for fans to stay connected through various platforms, using one convenient app.
Fast-forward to 2010 and Angeli has now signed to Australian Indie Power House “Savvy Muzik”. She is working with the label and their global market teams to take her music to larger audience throughout Asia and Australia. “Fantasy” was her follow up single and the first release under Savvy Muzik. Fused with American pop beats and Indian instruments, the track is sexy and fun. Co-produced by famed Indian musician Milind Date, the track was also placed in the film “Goodbye Baby” from Gigantic Productions in 2008.
The anticipated full-length release “Breathe It in,” is very much a tribute to Angeli’s personal life. “Making mistakes with love, trust, friends, – I always figure, if I’m going through something, chances are someone else out there is too,” Says Angeli. The album is an eclectic combination of Pop, Neo-soul, and Singer/songwriter styles.
With a non-stop abundance of energy Angeli has the “it” factor, which is always portrayed through her performances. The voice of the new music industry, Angeli combines her powerful vocals with heart-felt lyrics creating feminine, charming, and honest music.
